Boston, Mass– October 12, 2019 – The Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute (FCCI) has announced ticket sales for the second New England Chocolate Festival, to be held on Saturday, October 12 from 10am-6pm at the Cyclorama at Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02116. The New England Chocolate Festival brings consumers together with over 3 dozen chocolate companies to taste, learn, and interact.
 
Bixby & Co. will be participating in the Festival as a vendor. Where we will be sample our bean to bar chocolate and selling our Maine made confections!
Our companies invited to participate in the Festival have all been hand-selected for their focus on quality and ethics. They prize craftsmanship and flavor excellence while sourcing ingredients in a transparent manner.
 
The Festival includes a Chocolate Pavilion featuring chocolate makers, chocolatiers, cacao producers, and related vendors selling and sampling their wares and chatting with attendees. It also features:
  • Over three dozen chocolate makers, chocolatiers, cacao producers, and related vendors selling and sampling their wares
  • Guest artists MaestroJuan Alonso Rodríguez of Mexico and Laurel Greenfield of Boston demonstrating their craft
  • A Chocolate Sensorium, an exhibit space devoted to hands-on sensory exploration of the cacao- and chocolate-producing process
  • A café with Blue Bottle coffee, tea, and chocolate and Polar Beverages drinks to pair with your favorite Pavilion finds
  • Workshops and demos with expert professionals (additional ticket fee)
  • Dozens of satellite events over two weeks in five states
 
Also attending are several cacao and chocolate producers from Canada, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, North Carolina, and New York.
 
Tickets for the Festival range in price: $10 for children, $25 for adult general admission, and $25-$75 for special guided tastings and workshops.
About the Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute
The Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to identifying, developing, and promoting fine cacao and chocolate - in collaboration with a number of partners. We develop educational programming for consumers, chocolate professionals, specialty retailers, and foodservice professionals; conduct research and disseminate information on fine cacao and chocolate origin, processing, production, quality, and ethics; and build community by creating opportunities for knowledge sharing and mutual understanding throughout the cacao-chocolate supply chain. Any proceeds from the New England Chocolate Festival will support FCCI programming.
