Bixby Chocolate shines at the 2026 International Chocolate Awards.

We have some very sweet news to share: six Bixby creations were named Grand Jury finalists in the 2026 Americas – USA Bean-to-Bar and Craft Chocolatier Competition, and four of them went on to earn International Chocolate Awards medals!

For our small team in Rockland, Maine, this recognition is especially meaningful. The finalists span the heart of what Bixby does—from origin-focused dark chocolate that lets the cacao speak for itself to inventive bars and bonbons inspired by flavor, place and a little Maine ingenuity.

What This Recognition Means to Us

Bean-to-bar chocolate is a hands-on process. We source cacao, roast it, refine it and turn it into finished chocolate right here in Rockland. Every step asks for patience, precision and plenty of tasting. To see both our origin bars and our more inventive creations recognized by an international judging panel is an honor—and a wonderful affirmation of our team’s work.

We are especially proud that the official winners list identifies all four medal-winning Bixby products as made with our own bean-to-bar chocolate or couverture. That little detail captures something big: even when the flavor gets playful, chocolate-making remains at the center of everything we do.
